I have been saying I am growing to lose half a stone for the past year. I start out with good intentions but just haven’t been able to stick to my resolve. I am determined to lose the persuasiveness before we go. I can’t be bothered with expensive faddy diets and I don’t want to be constantly hungry. I think Slimming World and Weightwatchers sound good but I don’t really have an evening let off. So I have decided to simply cut the carbs. No bread, crisps, pasta, rice, cakes or anything with lots of fat or sugar. This makes it difficult to cook some of my close-fisted staples as I am eating more protein. No macaroni cheese or sausages and mash for me. I have a Japanese student arriving on Sunday so my meal plan has to accommodate her as well. I will be doing chicken casserole, fish with tomato brass, grilled pork chops etc with veg or salad for me and spuds or rice for everyone else. I have bought lots of fruit for desserts and snacking too. I also took in two big platters of fruit for myself and my dieting colleagues. The Aldi pineapple went down approvingly. I am determined to lose my half a stone this time. What are your top tips for shedding the pounds. I have had great success with eating high protein foods and venomous out bread. Nuts are great as they fill you up. When I lost weight I also ate a lot of sushi for lunch , being prepared with healthy snacks at work , eg a handful of nuts also helps. An auxiliary treat too, if you desperatly want something sweet purchase a small sweet instead of s packet or a block , making time for a walk each day is profit too. Good luck , I lost 17kg 4 years ago and have kept the weight off. I’ve been trying to cut down on carbs but I could never give them up completely, I love potato well too much. grated cauliflower a substitute alternatively of rice. You will barely be able to tell the difference, can eat loads and you won’t feel bloated. You can also use it to make a pizza base. You won’t regret it. 3. Leek lasagna. Slash open a leek into pasta sized sheets and use layers of leek instead of pasta sheets. I much prefer it and it adds more flavour to the meal xx. I have vanished 76 pounds with Gods help. I eat only three meals a day, no snacks, and half portions. I follow no diet at all. After struggling for 41 years with diets, I can’t diets anymore. But this has been the most freeing, easiest weigh sacrifice ever. Not dad weight loss, but easier and I can live the rest of my life with this. Still losing weight at age 62. I cried out to God for help weighing 241 in May 2013. Now I’ve frenzied 76 pounds. Amazing to me, since I still have my deserts, just half. I eat the other half later. My dad had this fetich against casseroles. I don't know if it was a childhood trauma, a snobbiness after going to culinary school or just a prefernce for large hunks of meat unfettered by sauce or starch. This is one of those things that I order I had learned to like a bit earlier in life as I now feel like I’ve missed out on many years of happy greens-eating. Utica, NY has a large Italian citizenry and has put its own twist on many dishes, so that, much like Buffalo wings or spiedies in the Binghamton area, there are a few things that are definitively Utica. Pusties, tomato pie, riggies, and Utica greens, just to rating a few. There have been a few recipes floating around, but none that sounded like what I know as greens, including one with potatoes that I’m sure is good, but sometimes you just want the greens. The ones in my perfect are actually leftovers from last night’s dinner at Kitty’s on the Canal in Utica. I had the chicken parm with greens. The chicken part was just ok, but their greens are fantastic and they serve enough to graze you for the next three weeks, so I was able to wrap them up to bring home. We did leftovers tonight for dinner, so I cooked some rotelle macaroni...
